The Working Conditions Act (or Arbowet for short) is a Dutch law that contains rules for employers and employees to promote the health, safety and welfare of employees and self-employed persons. The aim is to prevent accidents and illnesses caused by work.
The Working Conditions Act is a framework act . This means that it does not contain concrete rules, but general provisions and guidelines on working conditions policy (working conditions policy) in companies
The Working Conditions legislation is divided into four parts;
the Working Conditions Act
the Working Conditions Decree (Working Conditions Decree)
the Working Conditions Scheme (Working Conditions Scheme)
the Policy Rules on Working Conditions Legislation (Working Conditions Policy Rules).
